Painter's tape painting

Another Pinterest tester!
This is a pretty simple work of art, but there were some problems with the finished product. Here is the link to the page on Pinterest  http://www.pinterest.com/pin/339388521890717936/
I used an 11"x14" canvas, but it doesn't matter what size you use, as long as the width of the tape you use isn't too thick for the size of canvas.

Spray paint gold (try silver) - two layers

Create your design using painters tape. I used a 3/4" tape, but I think it would be nicer with a thinner tape. But this is what I had!
Think about where you want the focus (center or off-centered)

Paint using acrylics
Some colours will need multiple coats
It might be a good idea to paint white first as a primer

Carefully peel off the tape

And voila! I sprayed a protective gloss so the acrylic doesn't peel off.
I like the idea and it does look pretty cool, but most of the edges were really rough and some of the paint peeled off with the tape.. so if you don't mind that look, then give it a try! The whole project takes a couple days depending on drying time.

Pinterest tester

Ever find yourself pinning and liking for hours without putting anything to the test? I'm trying to change that! I'm going to test out my favorite Pinterest pins/likes without going to extreme expenses. After all, I believe that the best ideas involve use of materials that you already have. If you are a crafty person like me, you will have a lot of materials that are looking for a good use!

Here is a "dessert for one" recipe, that is quick and pretty tasty!
Here is the recipe if you want to try it for yourself! http://lacreativitedelafille.blogspot.ca/2012/06/single-serving-deep-dish-chocolate-chip.html

I tried it using a gluten free flour and it turned out really good with ice cream on top!

                                          Into the microwave...

                                  60 seconds on High...

A minute or two in the toaster oven to
give it some colour (don't let it burn!-unless
you're into that..) ps. I didn't use the stove
as a cooking element--it was simply
counter space :)

A little "a la mode" to take it to the next level

Enjoy! Caution hot!

So, would I make this again... YES! I think I will make it as a treat for my sweet<3
Try this and let me know what you think! Please share your ideas!
